Welcome to Curious, a home decor and novelty shop located along the premiere shopping corridor of Pier Avenue in downtown Hermosa Beach, California.

As owner and once-Hawaii resident, Bryce Toney offers a cheerful “Aloha,” visitors step inside Curious… to discover a bevy of artistically unique yet affordable items. From finding vintage gems,vintage lamps to modern accessories such as surf books, candles, and designer jewelry, shoppers will be subtly seduced by Curious’ sunshine-like charm and quirky perfection.

Local artists have a voice amongst the many treasures here, as well as the work of Bryce himself, who handcrafts furniture that may pop up next to a Danish rocking chair or a vintage corner cabinet. But what’s here today is gone tomorrow. That’s the beauty of Curious- it defies boredom.

Bryce has an eye for design that won’t break the budget. Always on the lookout for what’s new and different or old and unseen, Bryce easily caters to the current economy as he follows his life long belief that a home full of character derives from creativity, not cost. Perhaps that’s why his shop feels more like a home, than a retail space.

Most obvious, Curious is a shop with soul, supported by its soundtrack of thoughtfully played music tracks that soothe and gratify its customers. It’s a similar feeling to that customer who just discovered that the 1950’s lamp hanging in the shop window makes a perfect fit for their just completed kitchen nook.
